Bluehost is a popular web hosting company that provides hosting services for websites and domains. It was founded in 2003 and has since become one of the largest and most widely recognized web hosting providers in the world. Bluehost offers a range of hosting solutions, including shared hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), and dedicated servers.
Bluehost aimed to acquire freelancers with an offer that allowed them to build up to three websites using their services. The campaign's goal was to enhance brand awareness, achieve return on investment (ROI), boost conversion rates, and drive customer acquisition.
The challenge was to identify the right channels and strategies to reach out to this segment and convey the unique selling proposition (USP) of Bluehost's offer effectively. For the same, Bluehost planned on leveraging macro influencers for their campaign to share Bluehost’s offerings on YouTube and Instagram.
In order to overcome this challenge, Bluehost decided to implement Wobb’s searchbase to narrow down the specific requirements of their target audience. Using the search feature, Bluehost targeted macro influencers with an audience demographic of freelancers. The advanced filters also helped them target macro influencers from the freelancing, web design, content writing etc categories.
Using keyword search, Bluehost could further narrow down their search for influencers catering to freelancers. .
The influencer marketing campaign, coupled with the use of Wobb’s searchbase, led to substantial improvements in Bluehost's marketing results within a span of just one month. The brand awareness of Bluehost increased among freelancers, and the company saw a significant increase in the number of freelancers opting for their three-website offer. This resulted in a noticeable return on investment (ROI), reflecting in their boosted conversion rates and customer acquisition..
